Sace Assistance and Registrations
SACE (South African Council for Educators) is a professional council that regulates the teaching profession in South Africa. All teachers who wish to teach in public or private schools in South Africa are required to be registered with SACE.
To have a valid registration, the teacher must do the following:
- Criminal Record Check
- Sexual Offenders Database Check
- Copies of Identity Documents
- Copies of Qualification Records
- Proof of current registration for your BEd (certified)
It’s important to note that SACE registration is mandatory for all teachers in South Africa, and failure to register can result in disciplinary action. Therefore, it’s important to ensure that you register with SACE as soon as possible after completing your teacher training.
