The Baby Moses Child Sanctuary in Roodepoort recently received a helping hand from the Adventures for Love charity foundation, with the charity helping to redecorate the home and equip it with a new garden, as well as shelves and packing spaces in the children’s bedrooms.
Baby Moses was founded in 2003 and initially provided homes to abandoned babies, but by 2012 were able to begin admitting teenagers. The sanctuary does a fantastic job of placing the children in their care into loving adoptive or foster families that give them a safe environment to grow.
Adventures for Love, started by iFacts CEO Jenny Reid, bill themselves as “a group of ladies who love an adventure, some fun and a glass of wine but they enjoy raising money for good causes while having fun.” More than that, however, they are focused on giving back and raising funds to make a difference in the lives of others. To date the charity has raised funds for nature conservation and community outreach through fun and innovative adventures to the Zambezi River and the Great Wall of China.
