May 1, 2013

A  recent  UK  study  has  revealed  that  British  citizens’  most  feared  type  of  fraud  is  the use of their personal details to commit Identity Fraud1.

SAFPS (Southern African Fraud Prevention Service) reports 14 320 individual cases of fraud being filed by a combination of 38 major South African Credit Providers during 2012. A significant 23% of these cases were victims of impersonation, that is members of the South African public reporting on their own situations where they have fallen prey to identity fraud.
